The Office of the Auditor General wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology and people on slow or limited internet connections.
What we do
- Pages use semantic headings, descriptive link text, and alternative text for meaningful images.
- The site works on mobile phones and small screens, which most of our visitors use.
- Color contrast on text follows readable standards, and the site is navigable by keyboard.
- Documents are published as PDFs; web summaries are provided so key findings can be read without downloading large files.
Languages
The website interface is available in English and Somali (use the language toggle in the navigation). Most audit reports are published in Somali, with key documents also available in English.
Known limitations
- Some older scanned PDF documents are images of print documents and may not be readable by screen readers.
- Some report PDFs are large (up to 41 MB); we are working to provide smaller versions.
