The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) is the independent supreme audit institution of Puntland State of Somalia, established in 1998. It provides independent, objective audits of government agencies and public expenditure to strengthen transparency and accountability.

The OAG carries out financial, compliance, performance, forensic, systems, and donor-funded project audits across government ministries and agencies, in line with the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAIs). It publishes audit reports and issues an opinion on the government’s accounts.

The Auditor General is Mr. Osman Mohamud Ali, a chartered accountant and public financial management specialist who heads the institution.
