The Auditor General took part in a series of official handover ceremonies across several ministries and state agencies, calling on incoming leaders to safeguard public assets, uphold financial transparency, and ensure institutional continuity.
The Auditor General of Puntland, Hon. Osman Mohamud Ali (Qaroofey), participated in a series of official handover ceremonies marking leadership transitions at several ministries and state agencies, held between 4 and 7 April 2026.
The ceremonies brought together outgoing and incoming officials alongside senior government dignitaries and institutional heads, underscoring the government's commitment to orderly transitions and administrative accountability.
Addressing the ceremonies, the Auditor General stressed that orderly leadership transitions safeguard institutional stability and protect public assets. He called on incoming officials to build on the achievements of their predecessors, place financial transparency at the centre of their mandate, and adhere strictly to state regulations.
The Office of the Auditor General reaffirmed its commitment to providing continued oversight and guidance to newly appointed officials, in support of efficient and accountable service delivery.
